About the Reagan Era Archives

The Reagan Era is a source of information, files, and warm-and-fuzzy nostalgic feelings for those who remember the microcomputers of the early and mid eighties with fondness. Actually, you will find that we drift back to the late 70's and forward to the late 80's. That's the way we are. We're liars. If you have any comments, questions or suggestions, please send mail to the author.

We maintain the archives in our spare time as a labor of love. These are the systems we grew up with, or coveted as grade school geeks trying to get our next fix of technology, a decade before that Internet Super Highway shit hit the media and we all became superstars. As we progress toward a new millenium, we continually find old systems in the garbage, resurect and restore them, and frantically try to get as much info on them as possible so we can make them relive their glory days one last time before the power supply bursts into flames. As we gather knowledge, we will attempt to put as much of it on this site, so that all who have an interest in systems of years gone by won't have to go to as much trouble to get their systems working. Even if you've never heard of a Timex Sinclair or Apple //, you may want to check out this site anyway. Always remember your roots.... and remember that people haven't always used Windoze 95 to make their lives miserable. Back in the day we has AmigaOS...

If you have anything you would like to send us (preferably information - we have too much hardware as it is!) please do so via e-mail. Comments and criticism will also entertain us, so send it if you like. Please don't send questions or ask for help with old systems. Everything we have will (eventually) be posted here, or check the retro-links page and get connected to other sites that may have what you're looking for...

Have fun, and remember, those who do not remember the past think Windoze 95 is a good OS...
